This phase of our research was initially focused on synthesizing the findings from the interviews. Following is the result from a session of bucketing the key points of the interview to broader topics.
Speaking with the domain expert really helped us get a better picture of the problem we were seeing only pieces of. We also realized there were certain elements in her narratives that helped connect the dots between the themes of identity, self-esteem and the factors that we organized in our synthesis. We reframed our research to cover the age range of 18-25 year olds to tackle the topic of how they could deal with the notion of “forced independence”.
We decided to interview a few more people within this new age range and refer to some additional secondary research on the new terms that came up after talking to the domain expert. Our next strategy focuses on s0lidifying our intervention scopes and doing a landscape analysis of the current products and solutions that exist.
