I am a computer engineering major with a minor in animation and 3D Modelling. I always try to instill some creative whimsy into whatever technical challenge I take on to connect with people through my works. I am passionate about working in human-centred design and technology.Β

Most of the projects I shared here started from my undergraduate classroom. Since I graduated in 2020, I picked up a variety of skills ranging from Tangible Design to Data Science applications all the while under constant lockdowns due to the covid-19 pandemic. This gave me the opportunity to present these works now through the skills I developed. I am always taking on new projects and challenges and I hope to expand the scope of this website to enable interaction with people who share the same interests.

I may let my imagination run wild, but I ground them with real-world interactions and stories of people. I empathize and dream of a better world.

And then I invent.

I may let my imagination run wild, but I ground them with real-world interactions and stories of people. I empathize and dream of a better world.

And then I invent.

I have seen firsthand how lack of access can divide us. Access to information, technology, education, and essential resources define the struggles and achievements of communities. That is why I believe in creating tools and interventions that can bridge gaps between communities and the resources that can create more choices for them. In my experience, working towards these goals requires learning multidisciplinary methods, collaborating with diverse teams, some trials, and a lot of errors before I can see meaningful results. Not only do I love coming up with out-of-the-box concepts, but I also want to study human behaviors and diverse communities to generate inclusive solutions. Which is why I want to work in human-centered design and tangible technology domains.

I have a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), and a minor in 3D Modelling and Animation. I specialized in Robotics and Machine Learning, which I applied towards working in the industry with product design and innovation research for social development projects. I am currently pursuing graduate studies in the Integrated Design & Media (IDM) MS program at New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering, where I also work as a research assistant in creating physical computing resources.

I always consider giving back to the community through outreach programs part of my responsibility as a technologist. I was an instructor for two years teaching programming and robotics basics to high school students as part of an outreach initiative from my university. I am also passionate about undertaking initiatives to support women in STEM fields, having faced challenges myself as a female engineer in the tech industry.

What you will find here

A portfolio of the projects I have worked on.

A good execution of any idea should be self explanatory. Therefore, I try to present my projects as accessible to people from all backgrounds.

A place to unleash the writer in me.

There isn’t a shortage of opinions on the internet. So I want to use this space to document meaningful experiences that represents more voices than just mine.

A playground for me to learn and meet people.

My skills range from technology to crafting art forms. I want to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds to learn from and collaborate with.
